Planting Guide A Few Simple Steps to Ensure Success Container Tree/Shrub Choose the right location for the tree. Consider light conditions and soil moisture. The hole for the tree should be two to three times larger than the container. Make sure that the hole is deep enough so that the tree collar will be just above the ground level. Take the tree out of the container and if the roots are rootbound make an X in the roots with a knife or a pruner. This helps the roots to grow deeper into the ground rather than growing in circles. Place the tree in the hole and cover the roots with soil. The top of the root ball should not be below ground level. If desired, put a stake beside the tree and attach it with string to the trunk. This is to keep it straight and prevent it from falling over. The stake can be removed once the roots are developed, this could take up to two years after the tree has been planted. Water the tree at least twice a week, especially in the first year. The soil must be moist, but not soggy. If desired, place mulch around the tree, as this will help to protect the roots from extreme weather conditions. Bare Root Tree Choose the right location for the tree. If desired, place mulch around the tree, as this will help to protect the roots from extreme weather conditions.

This usually indicates there is too much water. Make sure that there is enough drainage where the tree has been planted. If it is potted, ensure there are holes in the bottom to allow water to drain. The leaves on my tree are turning brown. Why is this? Brown leaves are often a sign of not enough water. Be sure to give your plant the correct amount of water, especially if it is potted. If you have recently planted your tree, ensure you give it plenty of water in the first few months of its life. If your tree is on a slope, water could potentially run off. What if I need to cancel my order? Yes, this is possible, however after payment has been made there is a 10% cancelation fee due to operational costs. My tree died. Is there a guarantee?
